The fare for a single trip in Kyiv subway was raised from UAH 1.7 to UAH 2 on Monday, September 6.
A relevant decision of Kyiv City State Administration No 569 dated August 5, 2010 was published in the municipal newspaper Khreschatyk on Monday.
Starting from September 6, the price of a plastic token and a single trip on a non-contact card will be UAH 2.
At the same time, the price of a monthly travel card will remain UAH 95 and UAH 48 for reduced-fare cards for students.
The fares in Kyiv above-ground transport haven't changed - UAH 1.50 for one trip in a bus, a trolley-bus, a tram and the funicular cable railroad.
The new fares were introduced in compliance with a ruling of the District Court of Kyiv dated April 15 2010.
