The opposition BYT faction, on the opening day of the seventh session of the Verkhovna Rada, is to demand the passing of a moratorium on any increase in tariffs for housing and utilities services and gas, or an increase of the retirement age for women.
Leader of the BYT faction Ivan Kyrylenko has said this during a meeting of the conciliatory council on Monday.
According to him, MPs should tackle a number of priority issues on the first session day, in particular, passing a moratorium on the increase of tariffs of housing and utilities services and gas. In addition, the BYT faction demands a moratorium on the increase of the retirement age for women.
"We propose to pass [these laws] quickly tomorrow," Kyrylenko said.
According to him, the passing of these laws doesn't require additional expenditures from the national budget or consideration by profile committees.
