First Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov has said that the arrests of officials from the city state administration have no political motives.
"There are no political motives here," he told reporters on Wednesday.
"I deny this, because, unfortunately, those who [are getting attention] from the law enforcement agencies include members of the Regions Party," he added.
He also said that the structural subdivisions of the city administration headed by the officials now in custody were performing their functions in full.
At the same time, Popov said that Kyiv City State Administration could not dismiss these officials, as their guilt had not yet been proved in the courts.
