The resignation of Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk is not a disaster for the country, but confirmation of the "default" of Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's government, Regions Party member Iryna Akimova has said.
"I don't know who will replace Pynzenyk, and I strongly believe that the person who takes over this very complicated sector of work will not be able to radically change the situation," Akimova said.
"For if the team fails to make it, a replacement of one member in this team, unfortunately, won't make much difference," she said.
"Pynzenyk's resignation is of course not a disaster for the country. Pynzenyk's resignation most likely indicates the default of the government, but thankfully not the country," the MP said.
