The An-12 that crashed on Friday in Luxor, Egypt, was carrying two citizens of Ukraine, two citizens of Belarus, and one Russian, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said, referring to updated information from the Ukrainian embassy in Egypt.
The Ukrainian embassy received this information from a representative of Volcan Air, a branch of the Aerolift company, which owned the crashed aircraft.
The An-12 was en route to Ukraine when it crashed on takeoff from Luxor. It had landed to take on fuel.
The owner of the aircraft currently plans to send a representative to Egypt to agree with the Ukrainian embassy all the steps required for the repatriation of the pilots' bodies and clarification of the accident's circumstances.
