Former Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk has stated that he will not offer himself as a candidate for the port of the speaker.
Asked how he felt about being just an MP, he said: "Perfect."
Yatseniuk, said he was displeased by the work of the parliament.
He said responsibility for the inactivity of parliament lay with the factions that took the decision to dismiss the parliamentary speaker on Wednesday.
"Though in any case – either soon or later – they will agree upon the Verkhovna Rada speaker. And this will be good, because the parliament should work," Yatseniuk said.
He said that at present there is no agreement on a speaker candidate and therefore "a huge political intrigue and political bargaining has now started."
