PRESS RELEASE: Former management of shopping mall “Ukraina” continues to hold on to its premises by force

Today the acting director of the shopping mall "Ukraina" has made a decision to turn to the law enforcement authorities with respect to the unlawful actions of the dismissed management and actions of the security company hired by this management, which continues to hold on to the administrative premises of the mall by force. The decision was taken after another attempt of the acting director of "Ukraina" Rostislav Levinzon to enter the offices of the mall. The attempt was made after the state registrar of the Shevchenkivsky district has finally registered Levinzon as the acting director of the company. The procedure of the registering of the new management, appointed by the decision of the general meeting of shareholders, has thus been completed.

09.12.2011Kyiv became the fourth capital city of the world tour to host the series of lightangs by Ukrainian artist Galyna Moskvitina entitled "Code of Light". The world tour is carried by the private foundation "Arcane Art". The exhibition is open from 7 to 13 of December in Kyiv branch of the National Museum of Russian Art "Chocolate House".

Today the Kyiv City Commercial Court held hearings in cases filed by a minority shareholder against the public company "Univermag "Ukraina", specifically in the cases No. 62/175 and No. 62/185 (in both cases the judge is M. O. Lyubchenko). This is the fourth and fifth analogous case initiated during the past month. As in the previous cases, the hearings on these ones have been postponed to a later date.

On the basis of permanent monitoring of more then 7 000 of world print and electronic MSM, the World Media Institute experts named the winners of first "Pure Media 2011" award, which represent the most objective publications in the world. The winner of "The best editorial project" category was Rating of 77 World's most influential people, issued at the end of September by Ukrainian Hallmarker magazine. The experts noticed that for the first time the global rating was formed without any "amendments to the country of magazine publication", when in American projects the domination of the USA citizens was very obvious, and in the other versions the number of representatives from the countries of MSM origin was unreasonably large.

Robert Dix, the representative of the majority shareholder of the shopping mall Ukraine, the Swedish company Quinn Holdings Sweden AB (QHS), which owns a 92.75% stake in the company, has addressed an open letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov. In the letter Mr. Dix appeals to the Prime Minister with a request to take the situation around the Mall, which presents a threat to the majority shareholder's property, under his personal control.
