This data, being relevant for the period January 2003 and July 2011, was provided by fDi Markets research and fDi Magazine, a traditional partner of the Black Sea Economic Forum – the platform for enhancing competitiveness and investment attractiveness of the Black Sea regions and countries, and Ukraine in particular. 15.09.2011In the last year (from September 2010 to September 2011), a fully-fledged renewable energy sector has been formed in Ukraine, represented by the solar, wind, small hydropower engineering and biofuel sectors. According to a report prepared by the Association of Alternative Types of Fuel and Energy Participants of Ukraine, as part of preparations for the 3rd International Forum on the renewable power engineering and energy efficiency (REF-2011), which will be held on 17-18th of October, 2011 in Kyiv, new electricity generating facilities with a total capacity of more than 98 megawatts and heat generation of more than 42 megawatts have been put into operation in the last year.

14.09.2011The second international conference on the development and functioning of the Ukrainian market of liquefied gas entitled "LPG Ukraine 2011" will be held in the Kyiv hotel in Kyiv on September 22-23. According to the organizers of the event - the A-95 Consulting Group and the Ukrainian Association of Liquefied Gas - as of September 13 some 110 people representing 93 companies and organizations from 17 countries had registered to participate in the conference. Most of the participants come from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Russia.
